Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive adoption of platform development standards and architecture patterns.
- Enable technical delivery of SPE software components; address risk, privacy, cybersecurity, and legal constraints.
- Design new feature requests that are highly scalable and resilient.
- Align SPE technical solutions with Lilly supported technologies.
- Evaluate project ideas, software changes, and future product releases.
- Drive platform innovation roadmap; create proof-of-concept models in new technology spaces.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Influence platform solutions by building relationships with key technical resources and architects.
- Guide Lilly and non-Lilly teams on best-practice Agile delivery.
- Apply knowledge of medical device delivery models and quality systems to meet regulatory expectations/timelines.
- Ensure solution deliveries align with business processes, strategy, and roadmap.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.
- 7+ years delivering software across design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- 5+ years technical leadership experience delivering software projects.
Additional Preferences:
- Manage multiple software development/integration efforts.
- Experience with software design/architecture; proposing new ideas; learning new technologies.
- Agile experience.
- Asynchronous systems (e.g., Kafka); AWS/Azure cloud; identity/auth (preferably Okta).
- GitHub; CI/CD; Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) or similar.
- Intellectual curiosity and innovation interest.
Additional Information:
- Indianapolis, IN (hybrid); relocation required.
- Anticipated pay: $126,000–$224,400; eligible for company bonus and comprehensive benefits (e.g., 401(k), medical/dental/vision, PTO, life insurance, well-being).
