Job Position: Lilly Medicine Foundry Manufacturing Lead Operator
Responsibilities:
- Enforce safety, quality, and environmental compliance; escalate adverse events.
- Operate processes/equipment per batch records, manuals, design parameters, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Provide on-the-floor tactical leadership and prioritize resources during shift.
- Complete daily monitoring, testing, and cleaning to keep equipment/systems in good condition per regulatory requirements.
- Lead safety culture; model compliant behavior and accountability.
- Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting and responding to process upsets; integrate operator input and escalate as needed.
- Follow safety event reporting/documentation; handle spills and initiate Emergency Response procedures as needed.
- Ensure shift passover communication; attend daily huddles to set operational goals.
- Ensure personnel follow cGMP practices, safe work habits, dress code/hygiene, and housekeeping.
- Partner with management on Foundry strategy and future production needs.
- Participate in safety audits, procedure coordination, housekeeping, and continuous improvement.
- Use required company-supplied PPE.
Basic Requirements:
- HS Diploma/GED.
- 3+ years directly applicable manufacturing experience; GMP and/or chemical processing strongly preferred.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time (no visa sponsorship/support).
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Start-up environment experience.
- Pharmaceutical/chemical manufacturing with PSM-regulated or hazardous chemicals.
- FDA guidelines/cGMP knowledge; lean principles.
- Strong organization; troubleshooting/triage; technical/nomenclature and math skills.
- Effective communication; basic computer skills.
Additional Info:
- Location: Indianapolis, IN (pre-startup); US: Lebanon IN.
- Travel: 5%; 12-hour rotating shifts; may support nights/weekends/holidays.
Comp/Benefits (as stated):
- Anticipated wage: $25.96–$38.08.
