Responsibilities:
- Lead analytical support and innovation for Field Planning, Field Tools, and Incentive Compensation capabilities for field-based teams within the therapeutic area.
- Balance design and operational tradeoffs using marketplace insights, analytics, and data science.
- Support field teams by challenging the status quo to determine fit-for-purpose approaches.
- Serve as an inspirational leader; identify developmental opportunities for talent and optimize technical and leadership expertise.
- Partner cross-functionally with brand and functional leaders to deliver business results.
- Report to Senior Director, Neuroscience APEX; lead a team including first- and second-line managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incentive Compensation:
- Develop IC strategy based on BU pull-through; evaluate and refine IC.
- Lead IC strategy with VPs to ensure it is motivating, clearly defined, and aligned with forecasting.
- Strategic Sales Planning:
- Lead field force design, alignment, and call planning.
- Collaborate to determine optimal field force alignment.
- Lead field targeting/call plan process; define business rules, execute adjustments, and provide achievement metrics.
- Drive annual processes: ABS approval, Sales Force Effectiveness, and Franchise Annual Sales Operations Planning.
- Field Tools:
- Optimize field tools and operations to meet customer needs.
- Create, review, and simplify critical processes.
- Report field force execution metrics; support quarterly field business planning.
- Drive adoption and improvement initiatives (next-gen call plan, vacancy management, SF expansions, optimizations and launches).
- Champion franchise needs for field deliverables:
- Act as voice of customer needs; monitor trends and bring innovative ideas.
- Inform ops team of strategies/needs; triage and route incoming issues/requests.
- Connect issues to stakeholders and communicate status/resolution.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience (at least 3 years in sales).
- 3β5 years management experience.
- Preference: 2 years headquarter-based experience.
- Significant expertise in incentive compensation design/administration, field sales structure & call plan design, and field tools development/administration.
- Demonstrated communication, networking, project management, leadership, and collaboration skills.
