- Support translation of business goals into documented requirements; assist in developing problem statements
- Document โas isโ and โto beโ business processes; gather and document functional and non-functional requirements using standard methodologies/tools
- Map information system connections and data flows; identify data elements; support data mapping and data dictionary documentation
- Investigate data using SQL, Python, AI, and other tools; develop familiarity with data lake principles and common research database types
- Maintain and organize the backlog of requests; communicate requirements to the development team; coordinate stakeholder updates
- Engage with scientists and laboratory personnel to learn and document business processes; support systems/requirements gathering
- Identify data quality issues and investigate contributing factors; document and communicate findings with business/IT partners
- Handle tasks across projects, apply judgment within defined procedures, and adjust priorities in a dynamic research environment
This Role Requires
- Bachelorโs degree in life science, computer science, information technology, or related field
- 2+ yearsโ experience in a research or biotechnology environment
- Prior biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry experience; working familiarity with tools such as Laboratory Information Management Systems, SQL databases, Python, agentic tools, and data documentation frameworks

- Exposure to laboratory techniques, bioinformatics concepts, relational database principles, or IT software development lifecycle processes
