Role Summary

Lead Business Intelligence and Analytics Solution Engineer, remote. Contribute to the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company by delivering complex analytics solutions that impact patients and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Foster strong relationships with key business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver and execute complex analytics projects.
  • Apply analytics knowledge of BI best practices, data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Provide actionable data insights, detect trends, anomalies, outliers, and correlations to drive better business decisions.
  • Design/develop impactful data visualizations to communicate data findings; develop mockups and curate data to scope reporting needs.
  • Create semantic models with KPI measures adhering to metric governance standards;
  • Establish and follow BI/Analytics best practices including peer/code reviews, documentation, standards, data quality, reproducibility, and compliance.
  • Serve as internal SME on BI platform and drive the self-service COE with office hours training.
  • Establish data and metric governance around curated datasets and metrics, and best practices.
  • Conceive, design, engineer, and implement technology solutions by studying information needs and processes; resolve project hurdles using information and technical expertise.
  • Demonstrate proficiency across technologies and platforms related to design, development, data integration, warehousing, analysis, visualization, storage, networking, and cloud/virtualization.
  • Lead engineering efforts, mentor junior resources, prioritize multiple projects, and manage time efficiently.
  • Perform requirement lifecycle management, epic/story creation (Jira/Confluence), change management, functional testing, UAT, and training.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelorโ€šร„รดs degree in computer science or related field with 7 years of relevant experience or masterโ€šร„รดs degree with 6 years of relevant experience; PhD with 2 years
  • 5+ years in BI/Analytics architecture, dimensional modeling, data products, visualization, data discovery, curated datasets, and advanced analytics
  • 5+ years of hands-on SQL
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with BI/data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • 3+ years of Snowflake experience (stored procs, dynamic tables)
  • 3+ years of data prep tool experience (Dataiku, dbt, Alteryx)
  • 3+ years of CI/CD experience (dbt, Azure Repos, Git)
  • 3+ years of Python experience
  • Experience in requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder engagement, training, and building a power-user community
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and deliver complex analytics autonomously with minimal direction

Preferred

  • Experience in Life Sciences Commercial Pharma, including sales operations and marketing insights
  • Consulting experience in BI/Analytics
