Responsibilities:
- Responsible for automated equipment performance and first-line support to production processes.
- Support area engineering initiatives, process improvements, and project implementation.
- Develop expertise in production processes, commissioning, qualification, and validation requirements; equipment-specific code and/or control system technologies.
- Help ensure equipment is maintained in a qualified state, can be operated safely, and that maintenance is properly performed (maintenance activities not in scope).
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Ensure operational/maintenance procedures reflect safety concerns; follow cGMPs and applicable procedures.
- Improve quality using equipment performance data; ensure appropriate maintenance.
- Communicate effectively to plan/coordinate projects and repairs with minimal disruption.
- With process team, participate in or lead development of equipment design, procedures, engineering studies, and maintenance practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment operational effectiveness and reliability.
- Provide technical support to engineering: investigate/resolve production delay issues; transfer knowledge to operators/engineering/maintenance; implement tools for operations/engineering; coordinate contractors/vendors.
- Create maintenance action plans as needed; participate in periodic equipment state reviews; plan/execute small process/equipment improvement projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; no anticipated visa sponsorship.
- High school degree/GED.
Additional Preferences (not required):
- GMP manufacturing experience; safe, participative work; instrumentation/PLC and/or HMI programming.
- Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View SE experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel; ability to write technical documents.
- Independent work, strong organization, attention to detail, adaptable to changing priorities.
- Strong communication/customer service attitude; support HSE goals.
- Experience with highly automated equipment; B&R platform (plus).
- Knowledge of parenteral equipment/manufacturing operations; Maximo or similar computerized maintenance management system.
