As a Lead AI Automation Engineer, you will design and implement AI-powered automation solutions that transform how Corporate Services and HR business partners operate. You will architect end-to-end solutions, build working prototypes, mentor teams in design thinking and agentic development, and ensure solutions drive tangible efficiency gains and value.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with Corporate Services and HR stakeholders to understand current-state processes, pain points, constraints, to-be requirements, and success metrics; translate into technical solution designs.
- Engineer and implement scalable AI automation solutions with production-ready code that integrates with enterprise systems.
- Prioritize rapid prototyping and iterative development; build working MVPs, validate with stakeholders, and refine based on feedback.
- Ensure code quality and maintainability via code reviews and quality assurance; resolve complex technical issues.
- Manage the software development lifecycle and documentation as a System Owner.
- Drive projects to completion by resolving hurdles/assumptions and tracking milestones and deliverables.
- Mentor and coach staff in design thinking, agentic AI development, automation best practices, and modern development methodologies.
- Operate within constraints (cost, security, regulatory compliance, change management) and adhere to corporate standards (e.g., GxP compliance, data security).
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelorโs (7+ years) or Masterโs (6+ years) or PhD (2+ years).
- Expert-level Python for production-quality automation, AI/ML, and enterprise integrations.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks; understanding of LLM orchestration, agentic workflows, and prompt engineering.
- Track record delivering and maintaining enterprise production software (support, monitoring, iterative improvements) with measurable efficiency gains/ROI.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams.
- Preferred: Pharmaceutical/regulated-industry experience; SDLC, GxP compliance, and validation; Lean/Six Sigma/design thinking experience.
