Job Title: Lab Tech 1
Schedule: TuesβFri 9:00pmβ5:30am; Sat 7:00pmβ3:30am
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Process and perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or histology samples using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other equipment.
- Set up and run lab tests; read and release results per ZRL SOPs.
- Perform analyzer maintenance (daily, weekly, and monthly).
- Accession samples and manage specimen tracking/storage, including packaging/unpackaging for shipments.
- Follow QC and EHS practices consistent with laboratory standards.
- Troubleshoot sample integrity issues and respond to customer concerns via Salesforce ticketing.
- Maintain and clean an organized workspace.
- Properly handle and dispose of medical and biohazardous waste per regulatory guidelines.
- Complete laboratory logs (maintenance, environmental, cleaning) accurately.
- Manage email correspondence professionally and promptly.
- Be a team player with a positive attitude.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; BS/BA preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in English.
Compensation/Benefits:
