Role: Lab Tech 1
Schedule: Tues–Fri 9:00 PM–5:30 AM; Sat 7:00 PM–3:30 AM
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Process and perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or histology samples using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Set up and run lab tests; read and release results according to ZRL SOPs.
- Perform analyzer maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Accession samples and track specimens, including packaging/unpackaging for shipments to other laboratories.
- Follow QC standards and EHS practices.
- Troubleshoot sample integrity issues and respond to customer concerns via Salesforce ticketing with the customer service team.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Handle and dispose of medical and biohazardous waste per regulatory guidelines.
- Complete laboratory logs (maintenance, environmental, cleaning).
- Manage email correspondence professionally and promptly.
- Be a team player with a positive attitude.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; BS/BA preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills.
- Organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in English.
Compensation Package Includes:
