General Summary:
- Kidney Territory Account Manager (KTAM) establishes/maintains HCP relationships, develops strategic business plans, and communicates disease/product knowledge to nephrologists and specialty kidney clinics. Understand rare/complex disease market dynamics and demonstrate sound judgment to improve patients’ lives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build meaningful relationships with nephrologists and related HCPs; serve as territory account manager for specialty kidney clinics.
- Maintain expertise on disease, product clinical attributes, and patient unmet needs; educate appropriate use.
- Understand physicians/territory/market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, decision-maker relationships, patient protocols, referral networks, access, and barriers.
- Drive individual territory performance and contribute to team performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally; attend meetings and take on assigned projects.
- Adhere to regulatory/compliance guidelines and company policies.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Communicate complex clinical disease/product; strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
- Initiative in innovative environments; passion for patient care.
- Cross-functional/team-based skills; continuous learning.
- Clinical acumen, selling, business acumen, customer relationships.
- Expertise in disease centers of care and payer landscape; relationship/account management; IT capabilities (e.g., Veeva CRM).
Education/Experience/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Typically 5 years pharmaceutical field sales; experience in kidney/renal, rare disease, or similar specialty markets; product launch experience desired.
- Successful completion of required trainings/background screens/drug testing/vaccinations.
- Live and work within territory (may require proximity to major airport); valid driver’s license.
- Up to 80% travel; work after hours as needed; 10–30% overnight travel (territory-dependent).
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Pay range: $133,600–$200,400; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
