General Summary
- The Kidney Territory Account Manager (KTAM) establishes and maintains relationships with HCPs, develops a strategic business plan, and communicates disease and product knowledge to HCPs and centers of care. Leads engagement with nephrologists and serves as an account manager for specialty kidney clinics.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships with nephrologists and related HCPs; account manage specialty kidney clinics.
- Develop expertise in disease, product clinical attributes, and patient unmet needs to educate appropriate patients.
- Manage physician/territory & market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, decision-maker relationships, patient protocols, referrals, access, and drivers/barriers.
- Own territory performance and contribute to team performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally; attend meetings; take on projects as requested.
- Use sound judgment and comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Ability to understand/communicate complex clinical disease/product.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication.

- Core competencies: clinical acumen, selling skills, business acumen, customer relationships.
- Expertise in disease/clinical knowledge, HCP/patient resources, sales competencies, centers of care and payer landscape, relationship/account management, and IT (Veeva CRM).
- Documented sales success; ethical conduct and integrity; experience in matrixed environments.
Education & Experience
- Bachelorβs degree.
- Typically 5 years field sales in pharma; experience with kidney/renal disease, rare disease, or similar specialty biotech markets; product launch experience desired.
Requirements
- Live and work within territory (and possibly near major airport); valid driverβs license.
- Travel up to 80%; 10β30% overnight; work after hours as needed.
- Complete required customer trainings/credentialing, background screens, drug testing and vaccinations.
Compensation/Benefits
- Pay range: $133,600β$200,400; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards; benefits include medical/dental/vision, paid time off, education assistance, commuting subsidy, matching charitable donations, and 401(k).
