General Summary
- The Kidney Territory Account Manager (KTAM) establishes and maintains relationships with Health Care Professionals (HCPs), develops a strategic business plan, and communicates disease and product knowledge to HCPs and centers of care. Leads engagement with nephrologists and serves as an account manager for specialty kidney clinics; reports to a Regional Field Leader (RFL).

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish meaningful relationships with nephrologists and related HCPs; manage specialty kidney clinic accounts.
- Build expertise on disease, product clinical attributes, and patient unmet needs to educate HCPs on appropriate use.
- Understand physician/territory market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, decision-maker relationships, patient protocols, referral networks, access, and drivers/barriers.
- Manage territory performance and contribute to area/national team performance.
- Allocate resources to meet customer needs with a focus on compliance.
- Stay current on nephrology environment (disease, key accounts, reimbursement, barriers).
- Manage tactical business plan (promotional activities, budget, travel expenses).
- Work cross-functionally; attend meetings; take on projects as requested; exercise sound judgment and follow regulatory/compliance guidelines.

Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to understand/communicate complex clinical disease/product; strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
- Initiative and continuous learning; team-based, cross-functional skills.
- Clinical Acumen, Selling Skills, Business Acumen, Customer Relationships.
- Expertise in disease, HCP/patient resources, centers of care, payer landscape, and relationship/account management.
- IT proficiency (e.g., Veeva CRM); documented sales success; experience in matrix environments; uphold business integrity and ethics.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Typically 5 years of pharmaceutical field sales experience; experience in kidney/renal disease, rare disease, or similar biotech/specialty markets.
- Product launch experience highly desired.
- May require trainings, background screens, drug testing, and vaccinations.

Territory/Travel Requirements
- Must live/work within the territory (or near a major airport, depending on geography).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Travel up to 80% and work after hours as needed; 10–30% overnight travel.

Pay/Total Rewards (as stated)
- Pay range: $133,600–$200,400. Eligible for annual bonus and annual equity; some roles may be eligible for overtime.
