General Summary
- Kidney Territory Account Manager (KTAM) builds and maintains relationships with Health Care Professionals (HCPs), develops a strategic territory plan, and communicates disease and product knowledge to HCPs and centers of care to improve patient outcomes.
- Reports to Regional Field Leader (RFL). Leads engagement with nephrologists and serves as account manager for specialty kidney clinics.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish meaningful professional relationships with nephrologists and related HCPs; manage specialty kidney clinic accounts.
- Build expertise in disease/product clinical attributes and patient unmet needs to educate providers on appropriate product use.
- Understand physician/territory/market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, decision-maker relationships, patient protocols, referral networks, access, and barriers.
- Deliver territory performance; support area/national goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally; attend meetings; take on projects as requested.
- Exercise sound judgment; follow regulatory/compliance guidelines and company policies.

Knowledge and Skills (Required/Preferred)
- Communicate complex clinical disease/product; strong written/verbal communication.
- Initiative, strong work ethic, customer focus, team/cross-functional skills.
- Continuous learning mindset; core competencies (Clinical Acumen, Selling Skills, Business Acumen, Customer Relationships).
- Expertise in disease/clinical knowledge, HCP/patient resources, payer landscape, centers of care, relationship/account management.
- Integrity/ethics; documented sales success.
- IT proficiency including Veeva CRM; experience in matrixed environments.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Typically 5 years pharmaceutical field sales; experience in kidney/renal disease, rare disease, or similar biotech/specialty markets.
- Product launch experience highly desired.

Role Requirements
- Establish required customer credentials (trainings, background screens, drug testing, vaccinations).
- Must live/work in territory (may require proximity to major airport).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Travel up to 80% (car/air) and work after hours as needed; 10–30% overnight travel.

Compensation/Benefits
- Pay range: $133,600–$200,400. Eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards; additional benefits may include medical/dental/vision, paid time off, education assistance (e.g., student loan repayment), commuting subsidy, 401(k), etc.
