General Summary:
Kidney Territory Account Manager (KTAM) establishes/maintains HCP relationships, develops a strategic business plan, and communicates disease and product knowledge to HCPs and centers of care. Leads engagement with nephrologists and serves as territory account manager for specialty kidney clinics.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build meaningful relationships with nephrologists and related HCPs; manage specialty kidney clinics
- Maintain expertise on disease/product clinical attributes and patient unmet needs to educate appropriate patients
- Understand physician and market dynamics; stakeholder mapping; manage key decision-maker relationships; navigate patient protocols/referrals/access/drivers & barriers
- Drive territory performance and support area/national results
- Collaborate cross-functionally; attend meetings; take on projects as requested
- Exercise sound judgment and adhere to regulatory/compliance guidelines and company policies
Knowledge and Skills (Required/Preferred):
- Ability to understand/communicate complex clinical disease/product
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication
- Initiative, strong work ethic; continuous learning
- Core competencies: Clinical Acumen, Selling Skills, Business Acumen, Customer Relationships
- Expertise in HCP/patient resources, disease centers of care, and payer landscape
- Strong relationship/account management; integrity/ethics; proficient with IT/CRM (e.g., Veeva)
- Experience in a highly matrixed environment; documented sales success
Education and Experience:
- Bachelorβs degree
- Typically 5 years pharmaceutical field sales; experience in kidney/renal disease or rare/specialty markets
- Product launch experience highly desired
Requirements:
- Live/work in territory (may require proximity to major airport)
- Valid driverβs license (good standing)
- Travel up to 80% (car/air); work after hours as needed; 10β30% overnight travel (varies)
Pay Range:
- $133,600β$200,400; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
