POSITION: Key Account Manager (KAM) β hospital-based or integrated sites of care-based role managing key accounts across the Hoboken, NJ territory; launches and sells innovative products in institutional accounts (including IDNs and alternate infusion sites). Educates clinicians to improve institutional formulary access and appropriate utilization, ensures contract pull-through and account/clinician access, and follows the hospitalized patient journey (including calling LTACHs and home infusion companies when needed).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Increase product access and sales via institutional formulary approvals and customer education on appropriate product use.
- Secure product placement on account protocols and ensure products are in EMR systems.
- Build relationships with local infusion sites, LTACHs, and home infusion companies.
- Develop territory/account plans to grow utilization, formulary access, and expand the customer base.
- Align solutions, messaging, and stakeholders to maximize account performance.
- Maintain relationships with key hospital stakeholders (physicians, medical staff, pharmacies).
- Plan and implement hospital-oriented education forums.
- Partner with hospital treatment committees to include products on disease-state protocols.
- Support continuity of care via discharge protocol/order inclusion and reimbursement resource alignment.
- Collaborate with Sales, Medical Affairs, National Accounts, Marketing, and Sales Administration on pull-through initiatives.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven hospital-environment sales track record; acute care or integrated sites of care experience in territory.
- Ability to create alternate sites of care; understanding of buy-and-bill market.
- Experience launching new products/solutions in hospital/account settings.
- Self-starter; works independently and in teams under changing priorities.
- Strong project management; ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Strong relationship-building and technical product knowledge.
- Credentialing readiness: proof of childhood immunizations, negative TB test, and other hospital requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelorβs degree required.
- 7+ years related pharmaceutical sales/marketing/training experience.
- 3+ years in an account selling role in a hospital/account ecosystem.
- Valid driverβs license and clean driving record.
- Travel as needed to sustain relationships and attend conferences/meetings.
- Preferred: Buy/Bill and Home Infusion experience; Acute Care, Infectious Disease, and/or Hemodialysis experience.
