Job Summary
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for maintaining existing business and expanding sales in a defined geographic region (reporting to the Area Sales Director), promoting IHEEZO and Triesence. Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales revenue and product objectives through consultation and value-based communications with ophthalmologists, optometrists, surgery centers, and staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales revenue and product goals.
- Own and drive attainment of company-set goals.
- Develop new customers without losing existing business.
- Close deals timely and professionally.
- Analyze, develop, and grow territory business with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Grow via organic pull-through and adding new customers.
- Call on ophthalmic healthcare professionals in defined markets.
- Develop physician/staff relationships in assigned geography.
- Use internal resources for action plans and problem accounts.
- Provide weekly new business forecasts and updates.
- Record sales activity in CRM (CR,M) and summarize Next Steps.
- Use PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Maintain deep knowledge of ophthalmic portfolio; communicate product/formulation advantages.
- Follow up urgently; collaborate with internal departments.
- Travel routinely within the territory (~80% expected; includes overnight stays).
- Use Salesforce CRM; understand Pharmaceutical Industry Code of Practice.
- Comply with state/federal legislation and regulatory requirements; manage expenses ethically.
- Liaison for customer complaints/issues; submit required reports (including monthly expense reports) on time.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years buy-and-bill sales and/or medical device sales.
- Retina ophthalmology experience preferred.
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Ability to quickly learn product/practice information and offer solutions.
- Experience executing strategic/targeted business plans.
- MS Office proficiency.
- Clinical understanding of ophthalmology preferred.
- Knowledge of physician decision-making.
- Excellent presentation/interpersonal skills; strong communication and written skills.
- Independent judgment/initiative, multitasking, problem-solving/analytical skills.
- Ability to become proficient with Salesforce CRM.

Travel
- 75% weekly travel in the defined territory with overnights required.
