Key Account Manager - Cardiovascular

What You Will Do
- Assess and diagnose the business environment in assigned accounts for Amgen Cardiovascular products; plan/execute actions for success.
- Develop and execute compliant account strategies to reach difficult-to-access healthcare providers.
- Maintain account profile, needs assessment, and strategic plan.
- Meet routinely with opinion leaders (Cardiology, Lipidology, Pharmacy, P&T Committee, etc.).
- Present MAC-approved data and CV product messaging; deliver clinical messages compliantly.
- Ensure formulary adoption in targeted/assigned hospital accounts; coordinate pull-through and access with other sales colleagues.
- Monitor Amgen Cardiovascular portfolio performance.
- Identify drivers/barriers; coordinate pull-through initiatives across field teams (Sales, District/Regional leaders, Reimbursement/Access, Nurse Educators, Regional Marketing, Value Based Partnership).
- Coordinate home office engagement, approved promotional programs, displays, and hospital initiatives.
- Build relationships with hospital decision-makers (e.g., Pharmacy, Lipid Clinical, Heart Failure Clinical/Quality, finance).
- Coordinate with Regional Account Executives and Regional Medical Liaisons.
- Coordinate with Reimbursement Access Value team to support open access.
- Provide actionable field intelligence to home office and pricing/brand/GPO teams.
- Lead contract delivery, business reviews, performance tracking; organize competitive response.
- Execute value/FDAMA 114 tools where appropriate; support value of innovation.

What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate + 2 years sales/account management; or Master’s + 4 years; or Bachelor’s + 6 years.
Preferred Qualifications (highly preferred where noted):
- 3+ years account management/public payor.
- Cardiology experience (dyslipidemia, heart failure, acute coronary syndromes).
- Knowledge of community cardiology practice trends.
- Understanding dyslipidemia/heart failure dynamics (inpatient/outpatient protocols, readmission programs, performance vs quality metrics, CHF/interventional priorities).
- Reimbursement/managed care experience; Local Coverage Determination (LCD) knowledge strongly preferred.
- Hospital committee/P&T process, DRG/reimbursement knowledge.
Additional Qualifications / Skills:
- Leadership/influence without authority; identify key decision-makers; procure Amgen resources.
- Analyze clinic economics/financial performance and varying data sources.
- Navigate clinic reimbursement.
- Strong interpersonal skills (networking, influencing, negotiation, presentation; written/verbal).
- Fast-paced, multiple priorities, creative problem-solving, initiative, teamwork, independent work, broad computer skills.
