Key Account Manager - Cardiovascular

What You Will Do
- Assess and plan/execute actions for success in assigned accounts for Amgen Cardiovascular products.
- Develop and execute compliant key account strategies to reach difficult-to-access providers.
- Maintain comprehensive account profile/needs assessment/strategic plan.
- Meet with opinion leaders (e.g., Cardiology, Lipidology, Pharmacy, P&T Committee) and deliver compliant CV messaging using MAC-approved data.
- Ensure formulary adoption and drive appropriate utilization; coordinate pull-through and access.
- Monitor business performance across the Cardiovascular portfolio.
- Identify drivers/barriers and coordinate pull-through initiatives across field teams.
- Coordinate home office engagement and approved promotional/hospital initiatives in compliance.
- Build relationships with hospital decision-makers (e.g., Hospital Pharmacy, clinical directors, finance decision-makers).
- Partner with regional teams (Regional Account Executives, Regional Medical Liaisons) and Reimbursement Access Value.
- Provide field intelligence/recommendations to home office, brand, and Pricing/Brand/GPO teams.
- Lead contract delivery, business reviews, performance tracking; organize competitive response; execute value/FDAMA 114 tools as appropriate.

What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate + 2 years sales/account management OR Masterโ€™s + 4 years OR Bachelorโ€™s + 6 years.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years account management/public payor (strongly preferred).
- Advanced degree (e.g., MPH/MBA/PharmD) + 7+ years healthcare sales/marketing or related buying/decision-making experience.
- Clinic/hospital/dyslipidemia/heart failure/access environment and competitor/industry experience (preferred); Cardiology experience (highly preferred).
- Knowledge of community cardiology trends; inpatient/outpatient dynamics; Medicare/Government agency knowledge; payor systems/billing/coding/reimbursement; CMS policies.
- Experience with reimbursement/managed care and Local Coverage Determination processes (strongly preferred).

Additional qualifications
- Leadership/influence without authority; identify key decision-makers and grow relationships.
- Analyze clinic economics; interpret data sources; navigate clinic reimbursement.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (networking/influencing/negotiation/presentation); manage multiple priorities; creative problem solving; initiative; teamwork and independence.
- Broad computer skills.
