Role Summary

Key Account Manager - Cardiovascular - Long Island, NY. Territory covers Long Island, NY, extending from Western Nassau County through Eastern Suffolk County. Responsible for assessing and diagnosing the current business environment in assigned accounts related to Amgen Cardiovascular products and planning/executing actions for success.

Responsibilities

  • Key account strategic lead; develops and executes innovative strategies to reach difficult-to-access health care providers and accounts in a compliant manner
  • Maintains comprehensive account profile / needs assessment / strategic plan
  • Routinely meets with opinion leaders in Cardiology, Lipidology, Pharmacy, P&T Committee, etc., within assigned accounts
  • Presents MAC approved data and CV product messaging and delivers clinical messages compliantly
  • Ensures formulary adoption in targeted hospital accounts; leads pull-through and access initiatives
  • Monitors Amgen business performance across Cardiovascular portfolio
  • Identifies drivers/barriers and coordinates pull-through initiatives across field teams
  • Coordinates with home office and alliance teams for approved programs, displays, and hospital initiatives
  • Builds relationships with key decision-makers within accounts
  • Partners with Regional Account Executives and Regional Medical Liaisons
  • Coordinates with Reimbursement Access Value team to support open access
  • Provides actionable field intelligence to home office and CV brand teams; informs Pricing/Brand/GPO teams
  • Leads contract delivery, business reviews, and performance tracking; organizes competitive response
  • Shapes the environment and executes FDAMA 114 tools where appropriate
  • Supports value of innovation

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree with 2 years of sales/account management experience; or Master’s degree with 4 years; or Bachelor’s degree with 6 years
  • Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years in account management/public payor; advanced healthcare sales/marketing experience; cardiology-related experience; district management experience; reimbursement/managed care experience; knowledge of payor systems, CMS policies; ability to work with matrixed teams
  • Additional qualifications: leadership, relationship-building with key decision-makers, analytical abilities, problem-solving, strong communication, ability to manage multiple priorities, broad computer skills
