Key Account Manager – Bone Health (San Diego, CA / Hawaii)

What You Will Do
- Assess and diagnose the business environment in assigned accounts for Amgen products and plan/execute actions for success.
- Work with internal matrix teams and external customers to build relationships that support sales performance and brand strategies across complex partner organizations.

Role Responsibilities
- Develop and execute market strategies to reach difficult-to-access healthcare providers and accounts (compliant manner).
- Act as Amgen Bone Health contracting point; lead contract delivery, business reviews, and performance tracking.
- Coordinate with GPOs and large Rheumatology Networks; lead post-fracture care initiatives.
- Monitor business performance; identify drivers/barriers and coordinate pull-through initiatives.
- Provide actionable field intelligence to Amgen; partner with Market Access Account Executives in shared accounts.
- Identify and resolve contracting/membership/channel issues; provide insight to Pricing/Brand/GPO teams.
- Explore Alternate Sites of Care, Injection Sites, and value-based partnerships.

Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate + 2 years sales/account management OR Master’s + 4 years OR Bachelor’s + 6 years.

Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years account management/public payor experience.
- Resides in geography with established key account/customer relationships.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MPH/MBA/PharmD) with 7+ years healthcare sales/marketing and/or buying-process experience.
- Clinic/hospital/access environment/specialty experience; reimbursement/managed care; payor systems, billing/coding/reimbursement; CMS knowledge; buy-and-bill understanding; strategic business planning; cross-functional leadership.

Additional Qualifications
- Leadership/influence without authority; identify key decision makers; procure resources; analyze clinic economics; navigate clinic reimbursement; public payor/LCD understanding; hospital committee/P&T/DRG reimbursement knowledge; strong communication and computer skills.
