Position: Key Account Manager (KAM) β hospital-based or integrated sites of care-based role managing key accounts (IDNs and alternate sites of care for infusion) across the Hoboken, NJ territory. Educate clinicians on clinical benefits to improve institutional formulary access and appropriate product utilization. Drive contract pull-through and facilitate account/clinician access opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Increase product access and sales by navigating institutional formulary approval and educating on appropriate product use.
- Secure product placement on account protocols and ensure products are in EMR systems.
- Build relationships with local infusion sites, LTACHs, and home infusion companies.
- Develop territory and account plans to grow utilization, formulary access, and expand the customer base.
- Align solutions, messaging, and stakeholders to maximize account performance.
- Establish relationships with customer opinion leaders and hospitals (physicians, medical staff, pharmacies).
- Plan and implement hospital-oriented education forums.
- Partner with hospital treatment committees to include products on disease state protocols.
- Support continuity of care through discharge protocol/order inclusion and reimbursement resource alignment.
- Collaborate with Sales, Medical Affairs, National Accounts, Marketing, and Sales Administration on KOLs, formulary changes, and pull-through initiatives.
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven hospital environment sales track record in assigned territory/accounts.
- Recent acute care hospital or integrated sites of care sales experience.
- Ability to create alternate sites of care; understanding buy-and-bill market.
- Track record planning/executing new product/solution launches in hospitals.
- Self-starter; can work independently and in a team under shifting priorities.
- Strong project management; prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment; build diverse customer relationships.
- Learn/use technical product knowledge.
- Provide evidence of childhood immunizations, negative TB test, and other credentialing requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required.
- 7+ years related pharmaceutical sales/marketing/training experience.
- 3+ years in an account selling role selling within a hospital/account ecosystem.
- Valid driverβs license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel frequently; attend conferences and sales meetings.
- Preferred: Buy/Bill and Home Infusion experience; acute care/infectious disease/hemodialysis hospital experience.
Field-based with frequent day-to-day travel expected.
