IP Paralegal

Role: Intellectual Property Paralegal supporting BioMarin's IP team, focusing on patent docketing, file management, and annuity tracking. Responsibilities: maintain IP docket systems, monitor deadlines for patent renewals, coordinate with outside counsel, prepare formal documents, and assist with special projects and administrative tasks for senior IP leaders. Requirements: 3-5 years patent paralegal experience, preferably in biotech or pharma, with expertise in patent prosecution, annuity management, and electronic docketing systems; familiarity with USPTO e-filing. Preferred: associate or bachelor's degree, strong communication skills, proficiency in document management tools such as Outlook, SharePoint, or IManage. High-Value: biotech/pharma patents, patent renewal processes, electronic IP systems. Collaboration with attorneys and external vendors; periodic support for senior IP executives.
