Role Summary
International Tax Director to lead the companyβs global tax planning and compliance efforts. This role oversees international aspects of the tax strategy, ensuring compliance with complex regulations, driving tax-efficient structuring, and supporting growth across multiple jurisdictions. The position also focuses on optimizing corporate tax positions, reducing cash taxes, and providing strategic tax guidance to business operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the international components of the global tax provision process (ASC 740), ensuring accuracy under US GAAP.
- Design and implement tax-efficient structures for cash repatriation, intellectual-property ownership, and intercompany transactions.
- Oversee intercompany agreements and transfer-pricing documentation to ensure alignment with operational and tax requirements.
- Evaluate and manage GILTI, Subpart F, and foreign tax credit positions to optimize global tax efficiency.
- Monitor global tax law changes (OECD Pillar Two, BEPS 2.0, local reforms) and assess business implications.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and FP&A to support cross-border transactions, M&A due diligence, collaboration, and business development.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with external advisors to ensure consistent, high-quality global tax support.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to internal tax and finance teams on international matters.
- Support process improvements and technology initiatives to enhance accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in tax reporting.

Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree and 12+ years of global corporate tax experience (in public accounting or industry) OR
- Masters in Taxation, MBA or related degree and 10+ years of global corporate tax experience (in public accounting or industry)
- CPA required
- Deep technical expertise in ASC 740, GILTI, Subpart F, and FTCs
- Strong understanding of transfer pricing and IP-related structuring in the life-sciences sector
- Recognized as an internal thought leader with extensive technical and business expertise within a strategic organization
- Applies in-depth knowledge of own function, business / commercial / scientific expertise to solve critical issues successfully and innovatively
- Evaluates key business / scientific challenges and completes complex, ambiguous initiatives having cross-functional impact
- Able to assume responsibility, follow-through, meet commitments and use good judgment
- Willingness to be part of a team and cooperate in accomplishing departmental goals and objectives

- General knowledge of GAAP/SOX and an understanding of internal accounting controls
- Forward-looking business acumen with strategic understanding of pharmaceutical sales, marketing, market access, and medical affairs
