Insurance Specialist

Role: Insurance Specialist focusing on managing delayed, denied, or underpaid insurance claims for molecular and specialty testing services to optimize revenue cycle performance. Responsibilities: analyze claim issues, follow up with payers, correct and resubmit claims, interpret payer policies, document activities, and collaborate with billing, reimbursement, and client services teams to resolve discrepancies, reduce denials, and support patient access. Manage single-case agreements and track denial trends for process improvements. Requirements: high school diploma, 2+ years in insurance follow-up, denial management, or revenue cycle with strong knowledge of billing workflows, denial codes, and payer interactions; excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; proficiency with billing systems and Microsoft Office. Preferred: associate or bachelor’s degree, experience with molecular/genetic testing or specialty lab billing, familiarity with RCM systems like Quadax. High-Value: molecular/genetic testing, specialty laboratory billing, claims follow-up, denial resolution, payer policy interpretation, revenue cycle optimization.
