Overview:
- The Instrumentation and Equipment Specialist II performs maintenance, calibration, and repair of equipment, utilities, and systems supporting cGMP Manufacturing, Laboratories, and Warehouse. Executes planned and corrective maintenance and calibration per written instructions; diagnoses issues in real time; proposes corrective solutions; completes and reviews Facilities GMP documents; ensures safety and compliance.

Shift:
- Wednesday to Saturday, 2200–0900

Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative, routine, and corrective maintenance of CTUs, process utility systems, and manufacturing/lab instruments.
- Inspect facility, equipment, and systems; monitor/respond to alarms from BMS/QEMS.
- Support metrology investigations of OOT events using RCA and historical/technical knowledge.
- Read and interpret engineering/architectural drawings (e.g., floor plans, P&IDs, panel schedules).
- Write incident/deviation reports; conduct RCA and identify corrective actions.
- Receive, filter, and execute work orders; ensure repairs/maintenance comply with building codes.
- Coordinate with external vendors; provide on-call support; perform other assigned duties.

Required qualifications/skills:
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 years experience, or Associate’s degree + 10 years experience.
- 5–10 years instrumentation/equipment experience in a GMP environment.
- Blue Mountain computerized maintenance management software.
- Siemens Desigo or Insight building/environmental monitoring systems.
- Cleanroom PPE/attire (including ability to wear a half-face respirator).
- Excellent oral and written communication; valid driver’s license.

Preferred:
- Cell therapy manufacturing or BioPharma/Life Sciences experience.
- ISO/IEC 17025 and/or ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 experience.
- Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP/FDA best practices.

Work environment/physical demands (high level):
- Office and manufacturing lab/cleanroom; potential chemical/biological exposure; lift/carry up to 45 lbs; stand/walk 90% of a 10-hr day.
