Role Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture internal/external partnerships to accelerate AI integration.
- Represent Internal Medicines (IM) to external partners; build relationships with academic, biopharma, and entrepreneur stakeholders to advance AI applications in cardiometabolic drug discovery.
- Manage collaboration/partnership risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Communicate collaboration status to senior leaders and champion the asset to secure appropriate budget/FTE resources.
- Support scientific teams in integrating and applying AI tools to drug discovery projects with practical impact for obesity research.
- Facilitate access to AI expertise, resources, and best practices by connecting project teams with internal/external partners.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance, training, and troubleshooting for AI platforms/workflows.
- Adapt/deploy existing AI solutions to meet project needs, promoting data governance and reproducibility.
- Communicate project progress and resource needs to leadership.
Basic Qualifications
- Strong experience leading drug discovery programs and/or developing/applying AI capabilities for drug discovery.
- Experience in AI/ML (or related) with proven application of ML/AI to drug discovery, molecular modeling, or systems biology.
- PhD +5 years, or MS +7 years, or BS +8 years (or equivalent).
