Role: Senior Manager, Data Scientist supporting Pfizer's Medical Affairs via the Innovation, Data & Analytics (IDA) team, focusing on advanced analytics and AI-enabled workflows. Responsibilities include leading the design and evaluation of machine learning models, developing segmentation and cohort methodologies using healthcare data, and translating complex medical questions into analytical approaches. The role involves hands-on development of AI/ML models, data integration from diverse sources, and collaboration with data engineering, governance, and AI teams to ensure model reliability, compliance, and scalability. It also encompasses strategic input, stakeholder communication, and mentoring of data science colleagues. Requirements: Bachelor's in Data Science, Statistics, or related fields with 6+ years (or advanced degree with fewer years), experience applying data science in healthcare/pharma environments, proficiency in Python/R/SQL, and healthcare data expertise. Preferred: Master's or doctorate, experience with large language models, cloud platforms, and pharma data standards, along with knowledge of clinical drug development and medical affairs. The position is hybrid, based in NYHQ, PA, MA, CT, Europe, or Montreal, requiring 2-3 days onsite weekly, with no relocation package. The salary range is $124,400–$207,400, with bonus and long-term incentives, plus comprehensive benefits.
