- Responsible for activities of a highly complex nature (small projects or large programs) involving multiple project workstreams; act as a single point of contact.
- Actively manage large projects with varying complexity; coordinate multiple inter-dependent project streams.
- Utilize agile methodologies such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solution of problems.
- Communicate with stakeholders; estimate resources/participants; draft and submit budget proposals and recommend budget changes; manage multiple projects.
- Plan/schedule project timelines and milestones; track milestones and deliverables; develop/deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Serve as go-to-person and single point of contact for status and plans for complex, inter-dependent programs.
- Coordinate with IT and department managers to assess/track plans and status for on-time delivery; remove impediments and resolve cross-team issues.
- Define project objectives clearly and rally the team around the value-delivery plan.
- Anticipate risks before they are issues.
This Role Requires
- Masterβs degree in a life science with experience in computer science or information technology.
- 7+ yearsβ experience in a research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or scientific laboratory environment.
- Proficiency with tools such as Planview, Jira, and MS tools; processes such as SDLC and PMO. Previous project management in a research organization preferred.
- Ability to travel periodically (~5%).
