Discover Your Role
- Own highly complex IT program/project activities; act as single point of contact for small projects or large programs with multiple workstreams.
- Actively manage large projects and coordinate inter-dependent streams.
- Use agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe).
- Direct problem analysis and solution; recommend and take action.
- Communicate with stakeholders continuously; estimate resources/participants; draft and submit budget proposals and recommend budget changes.
- Plan/schedule timelines and milestones; track deliverables; deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Serve as go-to-person for status and plans across complex programs.
- Coordinate with IT and department managers to ensure on-time delivery; remove impediments and resolve cross-team issues.
- Define objectives and rally teams around a value delivery plan; anticipate risks early.
This Role Requires
- Masterβs degree in a life science with experience in computer science or information technology.
- 7+ years in a research/pharmaceutical/biotech/scientific laboratory environment.
- Proficiency with tools such as Planview, Jira, and MS tools; familiarity with processes such as SDLC and PMO.
- Prior project management in a research organization (preferred).
- Open to periodic travel (~5%).
