Role: Senior Scientist in In Vivo Pharmacology within Amgen's Inflammation Research, focusing on autoimmune and inflammatory disease models. Objectives: design and execute experiments to explore drug target pharmacology, generate preclinical data for research progression, and provide technical expertise to cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: lead in vivo and ex vivo studies using rodent models of inflammation and autoimmunity (e.g., colitis, lupus, arthritis); collaborate with scientists to inform pipeline decisions; manage up to one direct report; ensure data quality and communicate findings internally and externally. Qualifications: PhD in immunology, biology, pharmacology, or related field; extensive hands-on experience in animal handling, in vivo techniques (i.v., p.o., etc.), and disease models; proficiency with cellular and biochemical assays, flow cytometry; strong organizational and communication skills; proven scientific independence. Preferred: experience managing a pharmacology team; a track record of independent research contributions and publications.
