Role Summary
Immunology Sales Specialist covering Nebraska & South Dakota. You will play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patientsβ lives. North American Commercial is the βfaceβ of AstraZeneca to our healthcare clients, building positive relationships with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Develop outstanding product and disease state knowledge specific to rheumatologic diseases and educate healthcare professionals about clinical evidence, indications, and product efficacy/safety to support on-label prescribing; operate independently to drive sales and meet forecasts and budgets; complete training requirements including product examinations.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed care information; collaborate with Regional Sales Director and District Sales Manager to develop local strategy and a plan to increase sales.
- Capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities through strategic targeting plans using promotional resources and analytical tools to improve efficiency in the territory.
- Identify business opportunities, present value propositions aligned to partner needs, and recommend solutions; provide education to healthcare providers within ethical guidelines.
- Coordinate with other Immunology Sales Specialists and partner with Field Reimbursement, Medical Science Liaisons, Thought Leader Liaisons, and others to ensure delivery of specialty medicines.
- Continuously seek feedback to grow and develop, and collaborate across functions to drive outcomes aligned to organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree
- Required: Minimum 5 years in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Sales with experience engaging key partners in complex clinical environments
- Required: Demonstrated success in cross-functional teams
- Required: Strong scientific acuity in a highly driven environment
- Required: Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Preferred: Immunology or Rheumatology or relevant Specialty Sales experience
- Preferred: Experience launching new products
- Preferred: Knowledge of medical/healthcare/pharmacy industry and clinical skills
- Preferred: Knowledge of specialty pharmacy and buy-and-bill distribution model
- Preferred: Understanding of reimbursement and distribution challenges of biologic products
- Preferred: Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Preferred: Sound judgment and decision-making ability
- Preferred: Ability to learn, analyze, understand, and convey complex information
- Preferred: Residence in or near Omaha or Lincoln, NE (relocation not provided)
