Role Summary

Immunology Business Manager - PI - Chicago South. Territory: South Chicago, IL area, including Springfield, Peoria, Normal, Champaign, Naperville, Joliet, IL, Oakbrook and Davenport, IA. Reports to the Sr. Regional Business Director.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales quotas through driving new patient starts, sales in outpatient infusion centers and hospitals, and retention of patients on Takeda augmentation treatment.
  • Conduct customer engagements to deliver sales presentations, provide technical and administrative product information, and educate on neuromuscular conditions and Takeda resources.
  • Understand influence points within the office and how each individual affects diagnosis, treatment, and the Rx/referral/order.
  • Participate in community education events and conferences for healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Educate and inform HCPs on Takeda brands for Primary Immune Deficiency across Allergy/Immunology, Pulmonology, Infectious Disease, and select Internal Medicine/Primary Care.
  • Analyze local and regional business/managed markets trends to build long and short-term goals and a business plan.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Patient Services, Alternate Site Team, Integrated Health Systems, Market Access, and National Accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and opportunities within geography.
  • Work compliantly in a matrix environment with Patient Services, Specialty Infusion Pharmacies, and Managed Markets, handling confidential patient information per Takeda policies.
  • Embody patient-centric culture and follow PTRB (patient, trust, reputation, business) in decision making.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Clinical sales background with a Bachelor's degree; 5+ years of healthcare sales with proven outcomes.
  • Residence within the assigned territory and ability to manage it comprehensively; experience navigating payer and reimbursement challenges.

Preferred

  • 7+ years of healthcare sales experience with a strong performance track record.
  • Experience with specialty biologics (injections/infusions) and collaboration with specialty pharmacies.
  • Knowledge of Plasma-Derived Therapies, Rare Diseases or Biotech.

Skills

  • Excellent organizational and territory planning abilities.
  • Ability to work well as a team player and as an independent contributor in a matrixed organization.
  • Data acquisition and interpretation to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Ability to conduct community education events for healthcare professionals and patients; may require occasional nights and weekends.
  • Ability to motivate extended team members and foster engagement and accountability.

Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 50% to 70% travel; overnight travel and occasional weekends.
  • Must be 18+ with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; able to drive company leased vehicle or rental.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (minimum).
