Responsibilities:
- Use product knowledge to engage in customized discussions and in-person interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner.
- Drive outstanding sales performance to meet or exceed sales forecasts.
- Use assigned budgets to drive therapeutic and territory expectations.
- Maintain current understanding of the local market, practice structures, business models, and key influencers; routinely share with relevant stakeholders.
- Work with customers/accounts to understand practice structure, business model, key influencers, network structure, and customer needs to identify business opportunities.
- Use analytical tools to evaluate the business and determine how to accomplish sales objectives and apply resources ethically and effectively.
- Develop and implement a business plan with leaders; understand formulary approvals and other opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver resources and pull-through within the territory.
- Provide administrative excellence (work hours, sales call data, customer objective responses, sample/expense reporting, and other administrative items).
Requirements:
- Bachelorโs degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years specialty sales experience (prefer rare disease and injectable; adult endocrinology disease state preferred).
- Ability to work in ambiguous, changing environments (start-up experience preferred).
- Experience with complex distribution systems and HUB services.
- Proven strong performance.
- New product launch experience preferred.
- Experience with patient services in a distribution HUB and specialty pharmacies.
- Self-starter with excellent decision-making, judgment, and ethics.
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions and with peers.
- Specialty drug experience (rare/orphan disease) to address customer/patient needs compliantly.
- Ability to develop a successful business plan based on customer and patient needs.
- Ability to analyze data/metrics; diagnose performance issues and identify new opportunities.
- Experience establishing customer relationships and communicating technical information ethically and effectively.
- Ability to meet credentialing requirements at all times.
- Valid driverโs license and safe driving record.
- Overnight travel required.
Compensation:
- Annual base salary: $190,000 (actual salary and eligibility for car allowance/company car and commissions/bonus may vary by qualifications and performance).
