HVAC Technician, Saturday-Wednesday 3rd shift

HVAC Technician (Saturday–Wednesday 10:00pm–8:30am; training Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm for ~6 months)

Responsibilities:
- Start-up, normal operation, monitoring, shutdown of HVAC and equipment
- Troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and repairs on mechanical systems
- Maintain coolers/freezers (incl. Ultra Low temperature Freezer)
- Maintain centrifugal and reciprocating refrigeration chillers
- Maintain chilled water systems (incl. distribution and condenser pumps)
- Maintain air compressors; electrical power systems and stand-by power generation equipment
- Follow cGMPs and good business practices; comply with SOPs/ cGMPs/ GDPs/quality standards
- Participate in rotational on-call for site emergency work
- Ensure safe, efficient hands-on maintenance of plant equipment with strict adherence to standards
- Become fully gown qualified for production areas
- Coordinate with departments and Facilities Management for planned/unplanned work
- Plan/schedule outside contractors/vendors for preventative maintenance or general work

Qualifications/Skills:
- Basic problem-solving; ability to learn and follow procedures independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility for a changing environment; can lift/push/pull at least 50 lbs
- Strong written/verbal communication; effective time management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with computer systems
- Technical school training and field experience in AC, heating, chilled water systems, building automation controls, and maintenance
- HVAC II: 2+ years related experience (or HSD/GED + 5+ years)
- HVAC III: 5+ years (or HSD/GED + 8+ years)
- HVAC IV: 8+ years (or HSD/GED + 8+ years)
- Substitute relevant work experience for education
- Preferred: electronic/PLC/mechanical/building automation experience in pharmaceutical industry; EPA certification for refrigeration gases
