Responsibilities:
- Perform all work in compliance with global and local Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
- Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on basic heating and cooling systems (e.g., unit heaters, gas furnace, humidifiers, freezers).
- Install, repair, and perform maintenance on complex heating and cooling systems (e.g., multi-zone heating; ventilating and air conditioning equipment; pneumatic, electric, and electronic control systems).
- Balance flow in air handling systems, fume hoods, and specialty applications to bring systems back into design specifications.
- Repair and perform preventative maintenance on process and comfort chiller systems (e.g., water and glycol).
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC coils.
- Install, replace, and test filter systems (e.g., HEPA, frame filters).
- Inspect, validate, and repair HEPA filters (air velocity, static pressure, DOP smoke tests, air flow/balance, adjust belts/motors/prefilters, validate alarms, replace differential pressure switches, clean blower cabinets).
- Be certified in CFC recovery equipment; maintain CFC records.
- Support communications between operation shifts, maintenance, engineering, automation, and site customers.
- Document work in alignment with cGMP Good Documentation Practices.
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- 3+ years mechanical experience in an HVAC industrial environment
- EPA Certification
- Valid driverβs license
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (Lilly does not sponsor visas)
Additional Preferences:
- Manufacturing maintenance experience; regulated/FDA experience
- English proficiency; ability to follow written procedures
- Support HSE goals; tool/equipment familiarity (soldering/welding a plus)
- Read/interpret mechanical & electrical prints/schematics
- Team collaboration; willingness to work out of craft as required
- CMMS and Microsoft Applications knowledge

- Temporary: Indianapolis, IN office; Permanent: Lilly Medicine Foundry, Lebanon, IN
- 8 hours/day, MβF; weekend on-call as needed
