Schedule: 1st Shift 7AM - 3:30PM Tuesday through Saturday
Responsibilities:
- Maintain HVAC systems including Air Handling Units, humidification/dehumidification systems, chillers, fan coil units, water source heat pumps, refrigeration units, heat exchangers, chilled/hot water distribution, BMS, dust collectors, and vacuum units.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, calibration, and breakdown maintenance with various departments.
- Perform breakdown and preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems and controls.
- Complete work order and logbook documentation reflecting work performed.
- Supervise outside contractors for maintenance, repairs, new projects, and calibration.
- Follow SOPs and cGMP rules; maintain preventive/breakdown documentation and usage logbooks; monitor facility temperatures and RH% daily.
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment; enforce procedures and regulations.
- Support qualification protocol for utilities equipment installation and operations.
- Coordinate with departments/contractors to interpret needs and provide field support; communicate with supervisor/management.
- Determine preventive maintenance schedules using the master plan.
- Respond to emergency calls and work on-call as required; may work weekends/extended hours.
- Run and install new HVAC/refrigeration/humidifier/dehumidifier/accessory equipment, including brazing piping.
- Troubleshoot control wiring/control circuitry and repair as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other tasks as required by supervisor.
- Contribute to team efforts.
- Read blueprints, piping, and wiring/diagrams.
Qualifications:
- High School or GED (Required)
- Vocational/Technical HVAC certification EPA Clean Air Act Section 608 Universal (Required)
- 5+ years HVAC experience
- Understanding of HVAC/refrigerant/humidification-dehumidification systems and pneumatic/hydraulic/mechanical systems
- Ability to use power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work on gas lines, steam lines, and mechanical repair jobs
- Ability to read and follow SOPs, cGMPs, and Work Order Requests
- Follow OSHA guidelines
- Successful completion of an OSHA-compliant Respirator Fit Test (Required)
