HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair process control and environmental control HVAC systems
- Own operational performance and regulatory compliance for all site HVAC equipment (Ultra-Cold Freezers, Process Chillers)
- Provide timely feedback and coordination to site customers on HVAC system status
- Maintain spare parts inventories
- Support investigations related to abnormal equipment performance
- Support safety initiatives (shop floor audits, lock-out/tag-out, line break, confined space permitting)
- Provide training to others as required
- Work as part of an inclusive, high-performance team to achieve site goals through efficient, safe equipment operation and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices
Education:
- High School Diploma (required)
- A.S. in a technical discipline (preferred)
Required Experience/Skills:
- 2+ years refrigeration equipment experience
- 5+ years HVAC experience
- General plumbing and pipefitting experience
- Electrical controls experience for HVACR systems
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints/schematics (electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, or mechanical)
- Valid driverβs license
- Universal refrigerant license required
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs; work from ladders/elevated platforms
- Participate in on-call rotation
- OSHA General Industry experience including hot work and lockout tag out
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Biotech/pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing experience
- -70Β°C Ultra Cold Freezers, Freeze Driers, Liquid Nitrogen experience
- Gas furnaces/heaters; biopharmaceutical processing equipment experience
- Building management system knowledge (Siemens/JCI)
- CMMS utilization; chilled water systems
- Journeyman Card or Master HVACR license
- Walk-in coolers/freezers experience
