General Summary
- Lead the people strategy for Vertexโs Data, Technology & AI (DTE) organization.
- Partner with the Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) and leadership team to translate business and technology priorities into an integrated talent and organizational agenda.
- Enable execution of the Data/Technology/AI roadmap through leadership capability, operating model evolution, and enterprise talent strategy.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as primary HR partner to CDIO and DTE leadership; translate strategy into prioritized people/organizational initiatives and inform executive decisions with data-driven insights.
- Lead transformation to embed/evolve Data/Technology/AI operating model, including governance, decision rights, and ways of working.
- Architect organizational design to optimize structures and operating mechanisms for speed, clarity, and accountability.
- Define and drive enterprise talent strategies (role architecture, skill frameworks, development pathways, succession planning).
- Attract, develop, and retain high-impact technical and leadership talent using build/buy/borrow, internal mobility, and reskilling.
- Coach senior leaders; lead talent reviews and succession processes.
- Champion innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, organizational health, inclusion, and sustainable high performance.
- Use analytics and AI to generate actionable talent insights and measure HR strategy impact.
Required Experience
- 12+ years progressive HR experience; significant partnership with senior leaders in complex technology-enabled organizations.
- Experience supporting Data, Technology, Engineering, Product, AI/Analytics (or similar technical organizations).
- Proven success designing and implementing enterprise-level HR strategies and transformation initiatives.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities
- Organizational effectiveness, change leadership, organization design.
- Understanding of Data/Technology/AI operating models and workforce implications of AI-driven transformation.
- Ability to use data/analytics/AI to inform decisions and improve outcomes.
- Business acumen linking talent strategy to performance (speed, quality, risk).
