Position Summary
- Primary point of contact for People Managers and a new site; provides proactive support across San Diego and the West Coast with local market expertise and partners with local HR leaders to advance business priorities and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Trusted advisor to managers on complex workforce matters and HR policy.
- Develop and implement strategies to upskill new People Managers; coach experienced People Managers on HR processes/issues.
- Use discretion and sound judgment for effective resolution.
- Partner with HRBPs using diagnostics, data, and business insight to identify proactive HR interventions and people practices.
- Ensure leaders understand People processes.
- Coordinate seamless end-to-end delivery of global priorities and lifecycle processes with People Services; advocate for employee-experience improvements.
- Partner with global Centres of Excellence (COEs) and Process Designers to roll out global programs/processes.
- Maintain knowledge of California employment legislation/market practices to ensure compliant advice.
- Research and respond to HR-perspective issues with People Services, HRBPs, and COEs.
- Collaborate to share ideas to improve employee experience; lead or contribute to People-related projects as required.
Qualifications
- 6+ years HR experience (preferably in international, matrixed environment).
- HR or equivalent degree.
- Experience across HRBP/HR Generalist and HR Operations/HR Services with cross-functional partnership.
- Coaching people managers; influence senior leaders.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving (incl. root-cause analysis) and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset; communication/change management skills.
- Excellent English written/verbal; additional languages a plus.
- Strong stakeholder networking; ability to flex across cultures and complexity.
Compensation & Benefits (if eligible)
- San Diego, CA: $82,840β$100,384 (plus potential incentive cash/stock).
