Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on complex workforce matters and HR policy.
- Develop and implement strategies to upskill new People Managers; support/counsel experienced People Managers on HR processes/issues.
- Use discretion and sound judgment to determine effective resolutions.
- Partner with HRBPs using diagnostics, data, and business insight to identify proactive HR interventions and people practices supporting local business objectives.
- Ensure workforce and leaders understand People processes.
- Coordinate end-to-end delivery of global priorities and lifecycle processes with People Services; advocate for improvements that enhance employee experience.
- Partner with global COEs/Process Designers to roll out global programs/processes effectively.
- Maintain knowledge of employment legislation and market practices relevant to California to ensure compliant advice.
- Research, resolve, and respond to HR-relevant issues with People Services, HRBPs, and COEs.
- Collaborate with peers/matrix colleagues to share improvements to employee experience.
- Lead or contribute to People-related projects as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years HR experience; preferably in an international, matrixed environment, including manufacturing shift-pattern experience.
- HR or equivalent degree.
- Experience across HR Business Partner/Generalist and HR Operations/Services; cross-functional effectiveness.
- Exposure to employee relations cases (not direct accountability).
- Proven success influencing senior leaders.
- Strong business/analytical acumen; root-cause analysis; manage competing priorities.
- Proven track record coaching people managers.
- Ability to flex across cultures, complexity, business situations, and matrix partnerships.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset; demonstrated employee-experience enhancements.
- Communication and change management skills; excellent English (additional languages preferred).
- Ability to build stakeholder networks; experience coordinating/supporting projects.
