Role: HPC Systems Administrator supporting Lilly's AI and high-performance computing platforms for drug discovery initiatives in Silicon Valley. Responsibilities: build, operate, and optimize scalable AI/HPC infrastructure across GPU, cloud, and on-premises environments; enable efficient model training, inference, and experimentation; automate workflows to improve productivity and reliability; collaborate with scientists, engineers, and infrastructure teams to solve complex technical challenges; ensure system security, performance, and cost efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related; 5+ years supporting large-scale HPC, GPU, or distributed computing environments; expertise in Linux administration, scripting (Python, Bash), automation tools (Ansible, Kubernetes), and cluster management (Slurm, Grid Engine); experience with NVIDIA GPU hardware and monitoring, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and container technologies.
