Hospital / Institutional Customer Representative - Reading, PA

The Hospital/Institutional Customer Representative is a key member of the Hospital Customer Team, supporting customer needs, pull-through activities, and ensuring the company is viewed as providing value and better health outcomes to healthcare professionals and their patients.
Primary activities:
- Communicate product information meaningfully to individual customers; customize discussions based on customer needs.
- Conduct informed product discussions with HCPs; know when/how to seek and provide additional information.
- Serve as primary point of contact for select accounts; meet key customers to understand practice structure, business model, influencers (MCOs), employers, regulations/network structure, needs, and identify business opportunities.
- Coordinate with customer team to develop customer strategy (interactions/relationships, solutions, potential offerings).
- Partner with National Account Executives (NAEs) to support Managed Care pull-through.
- Share learning/best practices across customers.
- Provide input into resource allocation and select programs/services from company resources to address needs.
- Work with Solutions group (HQ) and/or Medical Account Executive (MAE) to develop/deliver relevant offerings.
- Maintain and share current understanding of practice structure/network and collaborate with in-scope stakeholders to ensure consistent customer experience.
- Implement approved resources, programs, and messages.
- Create awareness of approved Inpatient Hospital Letters of Participation (LOP) and discuss contract details.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree with 3+ years sales experience OR high school diploma with 6+ years equivalent experience (e.g., professional sales, marketing, military, or healthcare/scientific field not sales-related).
Required:
- Prior scientific or healthcare environment experience; previous sales; experience developing new business opportunities with existing customers; experience establishing new customer relationships.
- Understanding of products/therapeutic areas; consistent performer.
- Valid driverโs license.
Preferred:
- Consulting or customer service experience; experience creating/executing customer engagement plans; understanding of HQ operations; ability to analyze metrics; Hospital/Institutional Sales experience.
Skills (high level): Account Management/Planning, Customer Strategy, Managed Care/Market Access, Hospital Sales, Sales opportunity/pipeline management, metrics/digital analytics.
Territory: Reading, PA (must reside in territory). Overnight travel may be required.
