Role Summary
Hospital Account Manager - Seattle, WA. Part of a newly created sales team focused on the psychiatry space responsible for the performance of a long-acting injectable therapy for schizophrenia. The role covers Seattle, Portland and Anchorage markets and focuses on institutional selling within the hospital channel, delivering results in a compliant and ethical manner. The role requires understanding organizational objectives, analytics-driven planning, and building strong internal and external relationships to move customers toward the solution.
Responsibilities
- Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed territory-level sales goals; identify opportunities across care settings.
- Collaborate with sales leadership, other Teva teams, market access, operations, and training.
- Adhere to Teva compliance guidelines and maintain integrity in all actions.
- Review data reports to identify trends and address concerns; build rapport with employees and external contacts at all levels.
- Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing of products to current and potential customers.
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote the product and provide education.
- Coordinate with specialty pharmacy facilities to ensure product availability and education as needed.
- Stay informed on formulary developments within hospitals by working with P&T committees.
- Collaborate with discharge coordinators to understand patient follow-up and transitions of care.
- Maintain a call average focused on top target customers in line with the sales plan.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience required, preferably in long-acting injectable schizophrenia space
- Experience in hospital settings with buy-and-bill, formulary placement, P&T committees, and in-services
- Experience in psychiatric therapeutic areas strongly preferred
- Specific experience with long-acting injectables for schizophrenia in hospital settings preferred
- Experience launching products in the psychiatric space across multiple care settings
- Injectable and in-office administration experience within a mental health facility
- Ability to operate within complex settings and networks and provide customer insights
Skills
- Ability to interact with customers in live and virtual environments; proficiency with technology
- Understanding of reimbursement coverage and pull-through strategies; experience in CMHC, specialty pharmacy, private practice
- Understanding of the buy-and-bill model
- Leadership and collaboration across multiple sales teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record
Education
- Bachelor's degree required

- Extensive travel throughout the assigned region, including air travel and weekend or overnight travel
