Role Summary
Hospital Account Manager - Arizona. Part of a sales team focused on the psychiatry space responsible for the performance of an injectable therapy for schizophrenia in the Arizona market. The Institutional (Hospital) Sales Representative will achieve results in a compliant and ethical manner, focusing on the hospital channel for long-acting injectable therapy. The role requires aligning resources to meet organizational objectives and maintaining strong internal and external networks, with effective communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed territory-level sales goals and identify key opportunities across care settings.
- Demonstrate collaborative sales approaches and coordinate efforts between sales leadership, other Teva groups, market access, sales operations, and training.
- Adhere to Teva compliance guidelines and ensure the sales team operates with integrity.
- Review data reports to identify trends and plan actions; build rapport with employees and external contacts across levels to address needs.
- Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing of products to current and potential customers.
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical staff to promote the product and provide product and patient education.
- Work with specialty pharmacies to ensure product availability and provide education as needed.
- Stay informed of hospital formulary developments by engaging with the P&T committee.
- Collaborate with discharge coordinators to understand patient follow-up and transitions of care.
- Maintain call activity targeting top customers as per the sales plan.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience required, preferably in long-acting injectable schizophrenia space
- Hospital setting experience with buy-and-bill, formulary placement, P&T committees, and in-services required
- Experience in psychiatric therapeutic areas strongly preferred
- Specific experience with long-acting injectables for schizophrenia in the hospital setting preferred
- Experience launching psychiatric products across multiple care settings
- Injectable and in-office administration experience within a mental health facility
- Ability to operate within complex settings and networks and provide customer insights effectively
Skills
- Ability to interact with customers in live and virtual environments; proficient with technology
- Understanding of reimbursement coverage and pull-through strategies across CMHC, specialty pharmacy, and private practice
- Understanding of the buy-and-bill model
- Leadership and collaboration across multiple sales teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record
