Job Summary
The Account Manager owns the B2B customer relationship for large/complex healthcare delivery networks and serves as the primary liaison to largest customers. Engages C/D-level clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to understand needs/priorities and deliver a customized value proposition. Meets/exceeds sales objectives in an assigned territory via an integrated territory business plan. Provides scientific/clinical information in the disease state and delivers clinically brand presentations to drive appropriate product use.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Build partnerships with IDNs, Academic Centers, and key decision-makers (e.g., CMO, Pharmacy Directors, Infectious Disease Specialists, P&T Committee).
- Develop and execute an integrated business plan for key accounts to achieve/exceed sales targets.
- Identify and engage key influencers; meet customer interaction expectations.
- Plan activities to achieve call metrics; optimize coverage/frequency.
- Deliver clinical brand presentations to physicians and other HCPs.
- Understand customer healthcare delivery systems and stakeholder roles.
- Maintain in-depth product/competitor knowledge; track local/regional trends.
- Analyze trends to set short/long-term goals and craft product launch plans.
- Collaborate on best practices; provide marketing feedback based on territory performance.
- Manage territory budget; complete administrative tasks; participate in training.
- Maintain compliance with corporate and industry policies.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in relevant field.
- Valid driverβs license.
- Travel: up to 50%.
- Account Manager 6: 5+ years biotech/pharma experience.
- Account Manager 7: 3+ years biotech/pharma experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Product launch sales success; hepatology experience.
- Track record achieving targets; expertise in account selling/complex processes.
- Knowledge of Health Systems model (P&T, formulary, decision processes).
- Experience calling on C/D level in large networks; lateral leadership in matrixed org.
- Ability to work independently/in teams; data-driven planning; adaptability.
- Compliance with regulatory/legal standards; strong presentation/selling skills; business acumen.
- Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese, or Tagalog (preferred).
Requirements
- Travel up to 50% (overnights possible); lift/move up to 35 lbs.
Compensation/Benefits (if explicitly stated)
- US base salary range: $162,750β$271,250 (plus annual bonus and eligibility for share-based long-term incentive).
