Head of Technology - Therapeutic Areas (TAs) & External Scientific Innovation (ESI)

Role: Senior Director – Head of Technology for Therapeutic Areas and External Scientific Innovation at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, supporting Immunology, Oncology, and Neuroscience. Responsibilities: develop and execute technology strategy, manage portfolios and operations, partner closely with DDSAI on data, AI, and analytics capabilities; oversee laboratory systems, data platforms, and external collaborations; ensure technologies support target discovery, validation, biomarker development, and clinical trial design; lead cross-functional teams and represent technology in leadership forums. Requirements: bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Biology, or related field; 10+ years in pharmaceutical R&D technology, with 5+ years leading teams; experience in discovery biology systems, data management, AI/ML workflows, and translational research; familiarity with immunology, oncology, neuroscience modalities, and regulatory standards. High-Value: biologics, small molecules, translational research, clinical development, external innovation, FAIR data principles, AI-enabled scientific workflows, global matrix leadership, international travel (~15%). Work Setup: multiple U.S. sites and Belgium, with travel as needed.
