Head of Talent Acquisition (Biogen North America & Global Products & Commercialization)
Responsibilities
- Define and drive Talent Acquisition strategy for BNA & GPSC, aligning with enterprise priorities and enabling business growth.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior executives and HR leaders; influence workforce strategy and hiring priorities.
- Own and lead end-to-end Talent Acquisition delivery for complex commercial builds and business-critical growth initiatives.
- Lead a multi-layered TA organization (FTEs, contractors, and outsourced partners/RPO).
- Build and scale a high-performing TA function; strengthen leadership capability, optimize org design, and embed best-in-class recruiting practices and analytics-driven decision making.
- Drive enterprise workforce planning and talent strategy execution; anticipate risks and proactively shape solutions.
- Align and influence cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless end-to-end hiring processes.
- Define and lead external talent partnership strategies for key talent markets.
- Champion employer brand and candidate experience across global touchpoints.
- Partner with TA Centers of Excellence for an integrated TA service model for BNA.
- Drive adoption/optimization of TA technologies to improve recruiter effectiveness and candidate engagement.
- Shape and evolve the TA operating model for BNA; enable continuous improvement and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree (or equivalent HR/Business Administration experience) preferred.
- 12+ years progressive Talent Acquisition experience in a global, matrixed organization.
- Senior leadership experience influencing executive stakeholders.
- 8+ years people leadership experience (large/multi-region/global teams).
- Demonstrated success leading complex, large-scale TA functions.
- Proven ability to translate business strategy into talent strategies and scalable hiring models.
- Pharmaceutical/biotech experience strongly preferred.
- Experience developing sourcing, branding, and talent attraction strategies.
- Strong executive relationship-building and stakeholder credibility.
- Excellent communication and ability to influence at all levels.
- Data-driven mindset and strong analytical capability.
- Sound judgment in complex environments.
- Travel as needed (approx. 15%).
