About the role
The Head of Privacy, AI & Data Governance serves as enterprise leader for privacy, responsible AI governance, and governance of personal data.
Responsibilities (How you will contribute)
- Advise executive leadership on enterprise privacy, responsible AI governance, and trusted use of personal data.
- Partner across business, Digital, Data & Technology, Cybersecurity, Legal, HR, R&D, and Commercial to enable responsible, risk-based innovation.
- Translate evolving privacy/AI/data governance expectations into practical business guidance.
- Lead Takeda’s global privacy program and enterprise privacy governance framework.
- Develop and oversee enterprise framework for responsible AI governance (including AI using personal/sensitive data).
- Lead governance for responsible collection, use, sharing, retention, transfer, and protection of personal information.
- Embed Privacy by Design and responsible data governance into business, digital, research, commercial, and emerging technology initiatives.
- Conduct horizon scanning and update governance strategies as technologies and regulations evolve.
- Develop enterprise privacy policies/standards/frameworks; represent the organization externally with regulators/industry stakeholders.
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years leading enterprise privacy, responsible AI governance, data governance, cybersecurity governance, or digital trust in global, highly regulated environments.
- Advanced degree (CS, Engineering, Cybersecurity, IS, Law, Business, Public Policy, or related).
- In-house pharma/biotech leadership experience.
- Deep expertise in enterprise privacy, responsible AI governance, trusted data governance, and global privacy regulation.
- Strong knowledge of digital technologies, AI, cybersecurity, cloud, and emerging-tech governance considerations.
- Proven success designing governance frameworks enabling responsible innovation and regulatory compliance.
- Executive influencing/communication skills; experience navigating global cultural and regulatory environments.
