Description Overview
Head of Nutrition Human Resources (Head of Nutrition Human Resources) overseeing Eau Claire, WI; Covington, OH; and Burlington, VT; providing strategic HR leadership across the Perrigo Nutrition network. Lead execution of Perrigo’s people strategy, including employee relations, labor/union relations, employee engagement, retention, and workforce initiatives; ensure HR programs align with mission/values/business goals and cultivate a high-performing workplace culture.
Scope of the Role
- Review location HR policies/procedures annually; recommend improvements.
- Participate in collective bargaining negotiations; ensure compliance with agreements.
- Partner with Union representatives; apply collective bargaining terms; investigate/respond to grievances; prepare arbitration cases; prepare for/participate in negotiations.
- Drive change and innovation with site/business unit leadership to improve performance.
- Manage employee engagement via survey analysis, engagement gaps, and strategy deployment.
- Drive program enhancements across Nutrition Operations and Supply Chain network.
- Lead team development, leadership coaching, and large project/program management; deliver best practices.
- Measure and improve key HR metrics/scorecard.
- Ensure adherence with federal, state, and local regulations.
Experience Required
- 10 years HR experience; minimum 5 years in a lead role in unionized manufacturing (preferred).
- Partner with senior leadership on talent strategies.
- Develop/execute programs driving business objectives and operational excellence.
- Establish effective relationships with all management levels, Union reps, and employees.
- Contract interpretation and labor law/regulations; handle mediation and unfair labor practice charges; LOA/MOA development.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal EQ.
- Develop/evaluate short- and long-term plans/program effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s in HR, Psychology, or Business required; Master’s preferred; SHRM/desirable.
