Head of International Policy

Role: Lead international public policy analysis and strategy development to support AbbVie's engagement with policymakers across key regions. Responsibilities: oversee the International Policy & Analytics team; develop and execute global policy strategies aligned with enterprise priorities; monitor international policy developments; create evidence-based policy positions and advocacy materials; represent AbbVie externally with government officials, trade associations, and multilateral organizations; and lead cross-functional policy groups to assess impact and mitigate risks. Qualifications: 15+ years in government affairs, policy, economics, or international relations, with strong expertise in pharmaceutical industry regulations and international healthcare policies. Requires leadership skills, strategic thinking, and experience working on complex policy issues at global or regional levels. Preferred: experience in international settings, knowledge of global healthcare systems and legislative processes, and a bachelor’s degree in economics, political science, or public policy. High-Value: extensive experience in international policy within the biopharma sector; stakeholder engagement across governments and trade bodies; and leadership in shaping and responding to global policy challenges.
